Chelsea discuss Cristiano Ronaldo transfer with agent, Blues to make new offer on Sterling, Dembele free transfer news

Hello Chelsea fans

Chelsea owner Todd Boehly met Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendes in Portugal last week.

The Blues owner stepped in as interim director of football to help the club with their transfers following the departure of transfer guru Marina Granovskaia and chairman Bruce Buck earlier this week.

The Manchester United star’s future is far from decided, with the player linked with a move from Old Trafford.

And according to The Athletic, Ronaldo’s future at United as well as a possible move to Chelsea were discussed when Boehly met Mendes in Portugal last week.

The 37-year-old Portugal international has 12 months left on the two-year contract he signed when he joined Man Utd last summer.

Chelsea are in the hunt for a striker this summer with club-record signing Romelu Lukaku set to return to Inter Milan on loan.

But as things stand, United intend to keep the legendary striker.

Elsewhere, it has been suggested that Chelsea would be the ‘best placed’ club to land Ousmane Dembele when his contract at Barcelona expires.

Marca claim Dembele is ever closer to leaving the Nou Camp when his contract expires after Xavi’s late play to make the Frenchman seem like too little, too late.

Reserve keeper Kepa Arrizabalaga has also declared his intention to get more playing time, hinting at a possible exit from Stamford Bridge.
