Faith Lutheran Church: service at 9:30 a.m.

Kirk of the Hills Presbyterian Church: 10 a.m. service

Special events and meetings

Towne Center Thursdays: What’s to do after a long day at work or a fun day on the lake? After dining at one of our local restaurants, take a stroll through the Towne Center. Every Thursday through the end of the year, select Towne Center merchants will stay open until 7 p.m. If you are a visitor or guest, we hope you will stop by after a busy day enjoying the various things to see. and do here in the bay. If you are a resident, this is an opportunity for you to stop by those businesses that you may not be able to get to on other days because they are not open after leaving work or you have Had a busy day and wanted to stop by but we were already closed. Please support our local businesses wherever possible. They have invested heavily in our community and they need your support. Our building owners have worked hard to modernize buildings and fill them with businesses that will improve the quality of life in Fairfield Bay. We appreciate their efforts and look forward to the day the Towne Center once again becomes the Bay’s happening place. If you are a musician or a food truck and would like to join us at the Towne Center on Thursdays until 7 p.m., we welcome you. Food vendors should contact city offices for a special use permit, 501-884-6500, and musicians should call the Chamber to let us know you are coming, 501-884-3324. Special note: Please check the opening hours of businesses that remain open until 7 p.m. Some of them will open later. Also, some of our businesses have not chosen to stay open later. We hope they will see the value of staying open and will join us soon, but they need your support.

Hidden Gems in the Park Market: Held at Woodland Mead Park from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. every second and fourth Saturday until the end of October. There are no fees for vendors and this is a free event open to the public. To get a booth, please call the Chamber at 501-884-3324 and leave a message letting us know you will be setting up this Saturday. Available places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. We will be at the park on July 9 and 23. Come support these local farmers and artisans this season. See you at the market.

Rescheduled: Fun, Fashion and Food on Saturday, September 17 from 2-4 p.m. at Kirk of the Hills Presbyterian Church, 250 Dave Creek Parkway, admission is $10 per person. Come have plenty of fun at our annual Fun, Fashion, and Food event. There will be fashion for women of all ages. Come and enjoy a taste of the bay’s local restaurants. We will have great door prizes, a “treat” for all our guests and a surprise activity at the end! You won’t want to miss this event, mark your calendars! All proceeds from this event will go towards business promotion and economic development through the Chamber of Commerce. Tickets are $10 per person. Stop by to purchase your tickets or call the Chamber to reserve a ticket(s), 501-884-3324. We’ll see each other there.

Learning Links Classic Golf Tournament: Saturday, September 17 at Indian Hills Golf Resort. This event benefits the Van Buren County Adult Learning Center (Literacy Council). The tournament is a 4-way scramble. The $300.00 entry includes green fee, cart, breakfast and lunch. Registration and breakfast begins at 8:00 a.m. with a shotgun start at 9:00 a.m. Hole sponsors will receive signage on a hole for a donation to this non-profit organization. Fairfield Bay Yacht Club September Rendezvous: will take place on Sunday, September 18 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Meet at the marina at 3:45 p.m. If you are not a boater, you are welcome; there is always room in someone’s boat/pontoon.

KFFB Health Fair: Saturday, September 24 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Fairfield Bay Conference Center.

Town of Fairfield Bay Planning and Zoning Meeting: Wednesday, September 28, beginning at 8 a.m. at the town offices.

Fairfield Bay City Council business meeting: Monday, September 26 from 2 p.m. at City Hall.
