GAME WEEK: Info for fans of Home Saturday vs. Wofford

CHATTANOOGA — It’s almost here. We are only two days away from the match at Finley Stadium. The 12th-ranked Chattanooga Mocs host Wofford not only in the season opener, but more importantly, in the Southern Conference debut for both programs.

Win and you are first. Losing…well, let’s just focus on that first part. You always want to make a good impression in an opener, but that’s vital when it all starts with a league game.

“It means being ready to execute what we’ve been practicing and training all summer,” said the running back. Ailym Ford. “It’s about being disciplined, playing hard as a team and finding a way to win and have a positive impact.”

It took a lot of work to get there. It all started in January with the team lining up for an exciting opener at Finley Stadium.

“I’m just excited to get back out there with my brothers and get out there and play,” added the tight end. Jay Gibson. “We’ve been working hard all spring and summer to get to this point. I think we’re just a little tired of training against each other, and we’re ready to go and face an opponent.”

Here’s everything you need to know ahead of Saturday’s 6 p.m. kick-off.
