EAST LIVERPOOL — Sandra L. “Sandy” Croxall, 78, of East Liverpool, died on her birthday Sunday June 5, 2022 at UPMC Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania after a very courageous battle with cancer for more than 20 years.

Sandy was born in East Liverpool on June 5, 1944, the daughter of the late William “Invoice” and Ella Mae “Elijah” (Hendershot) Vaughn. She worked as a dental assistant at Kinsey Dental and as a cashier for her husband Ed’s father at Ted’s old market. Sandy attended Beechwood Free Methodist Church. She enjoyed playing cards, bingo and was an avid gamer. Sandy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She was constantly giving and serving her family, her church, her friends and her community.

Before Sandy in death was his sister Nancy Silverthorn.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 55 years, whom she married on November 19, 1966, Ed Croxall; two sons Jason Croxall and his wife Mimi of East Liverpool and Eric Croxall and his wife Jodie of East Liverpool; four grandchildren Christopher John Croxall and his companion Morgan Rogers of Rogers, OH, Paxton Mena and her husband Eric of Wheeling, WV, Cailynn Shields of Rogers and Alex Tambellini of East Liverpool; a great-grandchild on the way; his sister Penni Rambo and her husband Jerry from East Liverpool; brother-in-law Richard Silverthorn of Toronto and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may visit Thursday at Dawson Funeral Home where family will be present from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Rev. Norm Eckert of Beechwood Free Methodist Church will lead a funeral service Thursday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial at Riverview Cemetery.

Immediately following the service, the family will gather at Beechwood Free Methodist Fellowship Hall, 1203 Pennsylvania Avenue in East Liverpool for a time of fellowship.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Sandy’s memory to Beechwood Free Methodist Church, 1029 Rubicon Street, East Liverpool, OH 43920.
